Depth with Dimensional Grounds
Join artist Micah Goguen for this workshop in combined media as we explore drawing grounds for layering on top of collage, painting and more. Materials will be provided so that each participant will explore 3 aspects of GOLDEN drawing grounds such as Micaceous Oxide, Pastel Ground and Fine Pumice Gel. We will be using techniques of underpainting and collage followed by application of each ground. No experience necessary. Participants will leave with an understanding of the techniques while putting them into practical application. Any reference or subject matter can be used with this process (promotion show portraits). You can use the same reference to create 3 different variations or select 3 different images. Leave the stress and excuses behind. All you have to do is show up with an open mind and ready to explore.
