Patty Grewe-Mullins

Artist bio

My work is primarily in oils and tends towards the representative rather than the abstract. The interplay of light and color fascinates me, and I often play with a subject’s color in service to a mood. I feel no constraint about styles and techniques -- the freedom to use an eclectic variety fuels my interest in painting.

I enjoy landscapes and working in plein air but my first love is painting animals both wild and domestic. I find it a challenge to capture a non-human “personality.” Call or email - I would love to paint your pet’s portrait!

My husband and I have lived in Atlanta for the past 20 years. With an anthropology and museum studies degree from Beloit College (WI) and M.A. from the art conservation program at Buffalo State (NY), I work in private practice in object and sculpture conservation.
