My interest in art began when I was young and started doing sketches of super heroes. As a child, comic books supplied the art I was most exposed to. At about 13 years old, I discovered the artwork of Frank Frazetta on a book cover. I was completely blown away. I was so inspired by the beauty of his paintings that I knew right then that I wanted to try my hand at oil painting.
Frank Frazetta is still one of my most admired artists. My interest in oil painting has also been strongly influenced by other great artists such as Norman Rockwell, Vincent Van Gogh, John Waterhouse, Andrew Tischler and many others.
