Introduction to Acrylics

This class offers a comprehensive introduction to working with acrylic paint, perfect for artists looking to build a strong foundation or refine their skills. Participants will explore the unique characteristics of acrylics, gaining an understanding of how this versatile medium behaves and how it differs from others. The course will cover the advantages and limitations of acrylic paint, helping artists make informed choices in their creative process.

Students will also learn about the different types of acrylic paints and mediums, along with practical techniques for using them effectively. Emphasis will be placed on developing strong painting practices, including essential elements that contribute to successful and compelling artwork. By the end of the class, participants will feel more confident in their approach and better equipped to create dynamic paintings with acrylics.

4 Week class, March 28, April 11, 18 and 25 (Skipping April 4)

There will be a $25 supply fee paid to the instructor in class for all materials needed.
