Painting with Fabric
Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5, 10 am to 4 pm
Beginning the first day with a simple design of your own or one of my suggested patterns you will learn the technique of creating a fabric collage that is attached to a canvas with adhesive. No sewing required! Canvas and Mod Podge supplied along with a large variety of fabric to use. Beads, twine, buttons are added the second day to complete the project. There is time to create 2 smaller works or one medium size.
Materials List: 1 small sharp scissors (pointed), tweezers or small hemostat, old 1/2-2” paint brush, 1/4-1/2” flat old paint brush, plastic container to hold water.
Gail Lenahan is a self-taught artist. As an extension of a life long passion for quilt design, she has extended her experience with fabric color and texture combinations to create colorful fabric collages.
