As a child, my favorite part of each week was art class. I attribute the roots of my passion for art to the faithful teaching of my art teacher at Perimeter Christian School during my 1st-8th grade years. I was the kid who never left home without her sketchbook. Some of my most prized possessions were in that sketchbooks, as I spent the days putting my imagination onto paper.
As a college student, painting remained a passion of mine, but my dedication to spending time on it dwindled. Now as a young adult, married and settled in Norcross, I have been able to prioritize my passion for the arts again. I feel so much freedom from my Lord, Jesus Christ, to invest in the talents and passions He's given me to glorify Him.
I feel connection with my Creator as I consider that He is the first and Ultimate Artist. I feel His pleasure in the nature He created, the people He crafted, and the bright colors with which He fills my days. How lucky are we to experience such beauty in this life?
"For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities -- His eternal power and divine nature -- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." - Romans 1:20
